Small Block Chevy 3 Piece Valve Covers Gennie Shifter Hot Rod SBC Super Rare WOW

  
This is a pair of very rare original 3 piece valve covers for Small Block Chevy engines. These covers were made by Gennie Shifters in West Covina California. Very few sets of these valve covers were made and even fewer survived. These fit all Small Block Chevy heads that use the straight perimeter style valve cover bolt pattern(not staggered or center bolt). These really change the look of a Small Block Chevy engine. You can be almost certain you will be the only one in town(or in the state) with these valve covers. Don't miss this uber rare set of valve covers. These covers are in very good condition as shown. These are a 3 piece design with a base, top plate, and front cap that simulates overhead cams. The covers can be used with or without the front caps. Some pictures I have seen of these covers online shows them with "16 Valve" cast into the top plate. I have seen them both ways. These covers had worn wrinkle finish on them when I got them.

I took them apart, stripped them, and put fresh black wrinkle finish on them. Someone clearanced the valve cover rail area so the bases could clear a high performance valve train.

This does not effect function and does not show when installed. I see a small weld on the underside of one top plate.

I imagine this was done at the factory to fill a casting void. Again, this does not show when installed. There is one top plate allen bolt that is missing and 2 that are there are a bit buggered where the allen wrench goes in. I imagine these will be easy to find. These covers are very high quality and weigh right at 12 pounds each!
