New Big Block Chevy Chassis Headers, 55-57 Chevy, Bbc 396-502ci, Black, Engine Swap

The OEM bell housing frame mounts must be removed, and Southwest Speed side engine mounts, & automatic rear transmission crossmember must be installed for header clearance. These headers are Ground parallel with. 380" flanges on the cylinder head surface, and feature 1-7/8" Primary tubes with 3 collectors, complete with header bolts and gaskets and reducer bolts and gaskets.

Includes a pair of 3" to 2 1/2" reducers to complete the installation. Note: These headers will not work with manual transmissions due to clutch linkage issues.

34"-36" long primary tubes. 1 7/8" diameter primaries to the 3" diameter collectors. 3" diameter to 2 1/2" diameter reducers.

Reducers: 3" to 2 1/2". Note: These headers will only fit automatic transmissions, and will not work with manual transmissions due to clutch linkage issues.

Will not fit if the engine is located more than 3/4 forward for firewall/HEI distributor clearance. These Headers are designed to fit cars using original GM # 3719487 V-8 manual pitman arm, and will not fit GM # 3709877 6 cylinder pitman arm number. Aftermarket pitman arms must be same configuration as OE for proper header fit. Works with Air Conditioning, Power Brakes, Power Steering, & Automatic Transmissions. Designed to work with Stock Steering, & 605 Power Steering boxes.

Original Bellhousing Frame Mounts must be removed. Will not work with 168 tooth flywheels.

Will not work with some after-market starters. Will not fit Tall-Deck Truck Blocks. These headers are painted with a high heat dull black paint. It will generally dull even more when the engine is started.

The header paint will smoke and let off an odor the first few times the engine is up to temperature and the black finish will become duller turning closer to gray in color. If exhaust temperatures are extreme at start the paint will blister and peel. Please refer to the header measurement chart below to make sure the header will fit your vehicle and application before ordering.

Use care when trial fitting headers. Repack them well to prevent damage returning them to us. We also have these same headers available in.
