The 454 has approx 1 hour run time for cam breakin and engine dyno and dyno'd at approx 407 HP with 530 lbs torque at 3300 RPM. The engine was dyno'd and ran up with this Edelbrock Q Jet 1903 carb and an Autoline rebuilt GM distributor. The carb does not have either a hot air or electric choke and only a cap.

Engine block is casting # 361959 J16 75 (October 16/ 1975). 060 bore, pressure tested, hot tanked and machined / decked at Piston & Ring in Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada. Engine was originally T0130 CXY (can barely read the numbers but will decode at 4bbl, TH400 passenger car, Tonawanda engine plant). Heads are 336781 unmolested heads with stock valve sizes, no porting, K12 76 (November 12 1976) machined at Brazier Automotive in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada with new stainless steel valves, guides and valve stem seals(CCA-515-16). Crank is cast 353039 decoded Dec 15 /1973.

010 (main and rods) ground at Piston & Ring Winnipeg Manitoba. SpeedPro pistons H581CP60, Sealed Power SLP-E-232K60 Moly rings, approx 9.5 compression. Rods are stock GM 454 rods, resized, with ARP fasteners. Howards Cam CL120031 cam (1200 to 5200 RPM) with GM HL66 5232720 flat tappet lifters. Comp Cam CCA-2110 double roller timing set.

010 CLE-MS829P10, Clevite rod bearings. Comp Cams CCA-1411-16 Magnum Steel Roller Tip Rockers with new rocker arm nuts. Howards Cams HRS-98529-K31 Valve Spring and retainer kit, Comp Cam CCA-4757 Valve spring shims, hardened steel. Felpro head bolts ES72264, Carter fuel pump M6628, All Felpro gaskets. Edelbrock 7164 Performer RPM Dual Plane intake. Edelbrock Q Jet 1903 carb rebuilt by Schaeffer Carb in Winnipeg, Manitoba and used on the breakin/dyno run. Autoline (D2013) rebuilt GM HEI distributor used in cam breakin / dyno run (Rock Auto). Edelbrock aluminum 8851 Victor Series Hi Perf long water pump for C10. 8 quart oil pan, AC Delco spark plugs, includes fuel pump but does not include fuel line from pump to carb.

Cam breakin and dyno runs conducted at Sandale Automotive, Grande Pointe Manitoba with Penngrade Breakin 30 oil. Engine comes on an engine cradle and will be strapped to a pallet. Cradle wheels will be removed and strapped to cradle.

Engine will come with lift plate bolted to the intake. The current oil pan will not fit passenger cars and I believe it will only fit C10 trucks.

I can provide a recommendation who to use as a broker. This is a mild 454 specifically built for a 70's C10 square body. The builder is a former drag racing engine builder that now works full-time as a technician in the aerospace industry and still builds engines as a hobby in his spare time.

He has also built myself a 396 currently in my classic car as well as engines for other acquaintances. US buyers remember you will need a broker to import back into the USA which is your own cost and responsibility.
